Le Cordon Bleu to Open Flagship Cookery School and Café in London
Following an investment of over £15 million, a new state of the art school and café will open on 13 January at 15 Bloomsbury Square, WC1. Tucked in a beautifully secluded courtyard behind Bloomsbury Square - seconds away from the British Museum - Café Le Cordon Bleu will open as part of the £15 million development of the brand's new International Flagship Institute, which will officially launch in London next year.

Contemporary-classic in design, the façade of the Café has been styled based on Le Cordon Bleu Paris as it looked in the 1950s. As well as 30 seats inside the Café, there will be an additional 50 covers in the outside courtyard.

Café Le Cordon Bleu will be open from 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am – 3pm on Saturdays, offering freshly made patisserie (éclairs, tart au citron, jalousies), boulangerie (baguette, pain aux olives, pain de campagne) and viennoiserie (croissants, pain au chocolat, brioche a tète) throughout the day – all available to eat in or takeaway. In addition, a concise lunch menu will be offered at the café; dishes will range from the Le Cordon Bleu Croque Monsieur or Madame to a variety of sandwiches to quiches, soups and daily changing salads. All the food offered in the Café Le Cordon Bleu will be freshly made by Le Cordon Bleu Master Chefs.

Le Cordon Bleu was founded in Paris in 1895 and now operates more than 40 schools in over 20 countries, annually training over 20,000 students in the Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Management. The opening of the new state-of-the-art Le Cordon Bleu London Flagship signifies a bold move for this prestigious brand, reflecting its president Mr André Cointreau’s view that the UK now leads the world in the Culinary Arts.
