Lovango Resort + Beach Club, the U.S. Virgin Islands’ first new-build resort in over 30 years, announces its much-anticipated opening date for its second season as well as new accommodations and guest experiences. Overnight visitors will be welcomed back on December 20th, just in time to celebrate the holidays and 2023. New this season is the introduction of additional luxury glamping tents with outdoor showers, glamping tent duo accommodations perfect for families, and an exclusive landing craft adventure that will take guests to the famed Honeymoon Beach on St. John.
New This Season
Just a 10-minute boat ride from St. John and St. Thomas, the private island resort provides unobstructed access to 45 acres of nature amidst the Caribbean Ocean as well as easy access to St. John, the National Park Beaches and St. Thomas. Lovango Resort + Beach Club’s six brand-new Glamping Tents designed by Michael Kramer of Michael Thomas & CO, range from 800 to 1000 square feet of indoor/outdoor space and offer outdoor showers as well as spectacular views of the Caribbean and surrounding pristine nature. The new Glamping Tent Duo option, perfect for families, accommodates up to four adults and three children and features a private deck. The chic intuitive design of these new accommodations is helmed with sustainability in mind and balances the spacious, luxurious fixtures in tandem with nature. With air-conditioned sleeping areas and sea breezes cooling the living spaces, travelers can take in the wraparound ocean views and stunning tropical atmosphere.
Lovango Resort + Beach Club is launching a new landing craft afternoon service to Honeymoon Beach, exclusive to overnight guests staying at the resort and unlike any trip offered in the Caribbean. Guests can hop aboard Lovango’s private vessel for a five-minute journey to beautiful Honeymoon Beach, part of the National Park Services’ beaches on St. John. With a direct beach landing via the landing craft, toes are in the white sand right away along with beach chairs, champagne and anything from a personalized meal for two arranged by the resort’s Executive Chef to private yoga, massages and more.
Also new for all overnight visitors this year is the introduction of the Treetops Lounge - providing spectacular views and a charming location for breakfast, afternoon cocktails, yoga and a gathering location to meet fellow overnight travelers.
Complimentary amenities include distinct beach experiences, roundtrip ferry transportation to St. John and St. Thomas and the National Park Beaches of St. John, WiFi-ready iPads, continental breakfast buffet, all-day beach club membership, concierge services, hiking trails and coral reef snorkeling - with all equipment provided.

Villa Lovango
This three-bedroom 5,400-square-foot private villa boasts a private swimming pool and patio, living room, state-of-the-art kitchen and large fire pit all surrounded by oceanfront views. Up to six adults and three children can fit comfortably amidst the contemporary island-inspired furnishings.
Luxury Treehouses
Surrounded by plush flora and fauna, including palm trees, with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, are five Luxury Treehouses, perfect for families and couples alike. Various touchpoints that immerse guests in nature include hammocks, decks overlooking nearby islands and cays, living spaces offering breezy trade winds and indoor/outdoor showers with ocean views.
Stay + Sail
Boat enthusiasts can extend their Lovango stay on the ocean. The resort’s reservations team can arrange for a three to five-day luxury boat charters and plan an incredible itinerary for guests to enjoy before or after their stay.
Aquatic & Beach Club Experiences
Lovango invites overnight guests to Three Beach Experiences. With South Beach, travelers can opt for a reserved chaise lounge, access to a 70-foot infinity pool, personal attendant service, music and games as well as panoramic beach views. Across the island sits Crescent Beach, a quieter respite and considered a top Caribbean snorkeling destination. Here, guests will receive complimentary beach chairs; a gourmet picnic lunch is available upon request. The third experience is complimentary access to the incredible beauty of famed National Park Services’ beaches accessible by Lovango’s private boat launch.
The Resort also caters to day trippers and boaters with a limited number of beach club memberships; dining at its waterfront restaurant for lunch or dinner; exploring the Lovango Village, hiking trails and excellent snorkeling. Visitors can book the resort ferry here for dining and beach club visits offered daily from both St. Thomas and St. John, or they can arrive via private charter or their own private boat.
Dining and Shopping Experiences
Resort guests and day trippers can delight in time spent at Lovango Village where shopping, dining and exploring are all part of the experience. The food and beverage offerings range from upscale to casual. The a la carte waterfront dining, Beach Club Restaurant, is ranked a top St. John restaurant and is open for lunch and dinner. On Friday nights the resort offers its signature weekly Caribbean buffet evenings - an event not to miss - with live entertainment. Saturdays and Sundays, the resort will debut its Lovango Social Days, a chill and relaxed eating and drinking experience where guests can graze the different culinary and cocktail delights.
