Luxury Whisky Tours in Scotland
20 Little's chauffeurs have been tutored in the history of Scotland's whisky industry and in the art of whisky making and tasting, ensuring that they can tell clients the story of the nation's great whiskies whilst they drive them from distillery to distillery.

The tailored whisky training day has been organised by experts at the Tennent's Training Academy in Glasgow, for Homecoming Scotland's ‘Whisky Month' – and the increased popularity of luxury chauffeured driven whisky tours through the Lowland, Speyside, Highland and Islay whisky regions.

Little's has over 40 chauffeurs, all of whom are trained in Scottish history and heritage, allowing them to act as informative guides during luxury leisure trips around Scotland. This latest training will add a fresh layer of expertise to their service, as whisky lovers from across the world head to the spirit's homeland for the celebrations in May and indeed throughout the year with the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup when visitors want to experience Scotland's finest export.

Little's Managing Director Heather Matthews commented: ‘A growing number of people are opting for a chauffeur driven car to take them on a tailored leisure trip around Scotland. Visiting whisky distilleries is always an exciting part of any itinerary for these trips, increasingly so during this month's whisky festivities. Equipping our chauffeurs with the knowledge and skills to provide the very highest quality service is very important for us and our clients. Our chauffeurs are already highly knowledgeable about Scotland, and whilst clients won't expect their chauffeur to be a whisky expert, I believe that investing in this sort of training helps to raise our standards even higher.'

Caroline Packman, Homecoming Scotland Director said, “Homecoming is a great opportunity to place the spotlight on our greatest assets, so it's only fitting that whisky is at the heart of a fantastic month-long variety of events. Whisky Month in May is a perfect time for visitors to come to Scotland and for locals to experience the fantastic range of events right on their doorstep. It's wonderful to see Little's pro-actively getting into the spirit of this special year where Scotland will welcome the world, by continued professional development for their fantastic fleet of staff.”

Little's' tailored made whisky tours are designed around each booking, making each tour unique. Depending on your interests, whisky tours could be combined with tracing ancestry, discovering famous film locations or exploring famous castles. These bespoke tours are managed as part of a joint venture with Connoisseurs Scotland and include luxury hotel partners and visits to a wide range of distilleries on the Scottish mainland and islands.
