Mandarin Oriental, Miami Exhibits Contemporary Asian Art

Mandarin Oriental, Miami Exhibits Contemporary Asian Art
The exhibition celebrates the hotel’s Asian roots and nods to the expanding cultural interest and influence of eastern art.

Organized by Lexing Zhang of ART LEXÏNG Gallery of Miami, the Mandarin Oriental exhibition will feature original paintings that reflect ancient Chinese traditions as well as western influences.

On view will be works by acclaimed Chinese artist Wang Xiaojin, who is inspired by the distant past, particularly its women and artistry. Delicate and chic, Wang's paintings hark back to a time when being "feminine" typified a woman's existence. Also on display will be works from Chinese artist Bo Yun who, while respecting the ancient heritage of Chinese ink painting, has succeeded in integrating new ideas and techniques that make his work seem very contemporary.

“Oriental Charm” will showcase the diversity of styles and influences and the artistic sophistication that has been commanding the attention of international scholars, museums and art collectors.

Guests staying at Mandarin Oriental, Miami will enjoy rates from $499 per night and receive a complimentary Mandarin Oriental Art Book in-room.
