Just in time for summer, Sayulita opened its doors in early May at Mondrian LA. The colorful taqueria and tequila bar, modeled after the popular beach town in Mexico, brings its casual and coastal vibe to the venerable SkyBar. With its extensive Baja street-style taco menu and fresh beverage options, Sayulita serves as the perfect place to enjoy a sunset or escape for an afternoon and solidifies Mondrian's position as the go-to spot in Los Angeles. Sayulita's new cocktail program specializes in tequilas, serving over 40 varieties and world-class mezcals. Signature margaritas include: Skybargarita Corzo Silver, Citrus Spiked Agave Nectar, Lemon, Lime, Salt Air; Butterfly Kisses Avion Reposado, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Aperol, Tamarind Jarritos, Lemon, Strawberry, Firewater Bitters; and Funky Beets Herrardura Reposado, Beets, Agave, Water, Salt. Interpretations of street food classics and Mexican snacks are available to cure one's craving for Mexican flavors after sipping on margaritas such as: hand-smashed Guacamole, house-made chips and a Trio of Salsas. An array of taco options prepared using the best local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients include combinations such as: Sisig Taco Crispy Pork Belly and Shoulder, Black Pepper, Garlic, Chilies, Charred Melon, Salsa, Soft Corn Tortillas; Pig Ear Tacos Thinly Sliced Fried Pig Ears, Cabbage, Avocado & Corn Relish, Cotija Cheese, Soft Corn Tortillas; Shrimp & Bacon Tacos Beer Battered Shrimp, Small Thick Cut Pieces of Bacon, Micro Cilantro, Cotija Cheese, Soft Corn Tortillas.

The space transports guests to the actual Mexican beach town of Sayulita as it infuses elements of the local culture with Aztec inspired printed pillows and throws. Equipped with comfortable, luxurious daybeds for lounging, communal wooden tables and amphitheater seating, Sayulita is perfect for large groups to gather for outdoor drinking and eating.
