Montage Beverly Hills Opens

Montage Beverly Hills Opens
Alan J. Fuerstman, Founder and CEO of Montage Hotels & Resorts, announced today the opening of Montage Beverly Hills, the company's long-awaited second property. The company's flagship property, Montage Laguna Beach, opened in 2003.

Montage Beverly Hills, a 201-room luxury hotel situated in the "golden triangle" of Beverly Hills, opens its doors to the public on November 17. Fuerstman personally selected renowned hotelier and Managing Director Ali Kasikci to direct the operations of the 201-guest room property, which is the first new luxury hotel to be built in Beverly Hills in more than 16 years.

Set in the heart of Beverly Hills just steps from world-class shopping and dining, the striking Spanish Colonial Revival design of the property celebrates the rich past of Beverly Hills in sophisticated residential-style public spaces that are at once intimate in nature and grand in detail. Legacy artisans hand-crafted many of these details, including the hand-painted ceilings in the Marquesa ballroom and the Library. A curator-assembled art collection showcases Hollywood's golden age. Three restaurants are devoted to the most inventive seasonal dining. The two-level Spa Montage offers holistic treatments by the country's most rigorously accredited staff. Gracious guest rooms and suites offer rich interiors that reflect the area's glamour estates of the 1920s and 1930s, paired with the latest in technology. Even the outdoor topiary gardens, a first in the area, evoke the feeling of those grand estates.

Guestrooms & Suites

The 201 richly appointed guest rooms, including 55 suites, range from 500 to up to 5,000 square feet, and offer stunning city and foothill views from expansive windows and private balconies. Modern technology features include convenient bedside panels and LCD televisions in the generous marble bathrooms. Added-value guest services include 24-hour check-in, complimentary John Lobb shoe shine, custom-designed suit hangers and Agraria's golden pomegranate scented bath products, which are exclusive to the hotel. In addition, guests booking Corner Suites and higher may enjoy complimentary Mercedes-Benz motorcars to use during their stay.

Spa Montage

Influenced by Moroccan and Moorish design, the sumptuous two-level, 20,000-square-foot Spa Montage features 17 treatment rooms, a spacious fitness facility, yoga and Pilates studio and a full-service hair and beauty salon. A two-story, mosaic-tiled wall is the focal point of the spa and serves as the background to the co-ed relaxation area and mineral pool.

Signature treatments include the "Surrender" experience that was originally introduced at Montage Laguna Beach. In Beverly Hills, this personalized menu of services tailored by expert staff for each individual guest will draw upon custom rituals inspired by water, earth and the botanical abundance of orchards.

Dining & More

Under the direction of Executive Chef John Cuevas, who most recently served as Chef de Cuisine at The Loft at Montage Laguna Beach, three restaurants provide a wealth of unique pairings and signature dishes produced with California's finest seasonal ingredients and artisanal products.

Parq, the 88-seat restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casually elegant environment with views of the hotel's topiary gardens. Signature dishes include Marinated "Japanese Kobe" Cobb, Cannelloni of Braised Short Ribs and Cedar Plank Medallions of Spiny Lobster. Located within Parq's custom-designed European kitchen, which features two Molteni ovens and an antique stone fireplace, is the Chef's Table, an exclusive experience for 12 guests with menus personally created by Cuevas.

Open for dinner, the intimate 44-seat Muse highlights Cuevas's "urbane American cuisine," featuring exotic seafood and prime meats. An adjacent private dining room features a table for 20 as well as an adjoining private balcony overlooking the Montage gardens. Bordering the rooftop pool, The Conservatory Grill offers uninterrupted views of the Hollywood Hills and offers all-organic options for breakfast and lunch.

The intimate Lobby Lounge serves traditional afternoon tea daily. Montage Beverly Hills also encompasses more than 9,000 square feet of private event and meeting space and a collection of world-class retail boutiques.

Designed by HKS Hill Glazier Studio and developed by The Athens Group, Montage Beverly Hills is the second in a series of properties under the Montage Hotels & Resorts banner. Alan Fuerstman founded the luxury hotel operating and development company with the goal of creating an artistic collection of luxury hotels, resorts and residences in stunning settings to serve the affluent traveler.

Montage Beverly Hills, an eight-story hotel featuring 201 well-appointed guestrooms, including 55 suites, pays tribute to both old-style Hollywood and modern day luxury. The exterior, designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, couples terra-cotta roofs with authentic tile detailing to complement the rich history and tradition of Southern California's most celebrated neighborhood. Located steps from Rodeo Drive, in the heart of the Golden Triangle, guests and residents find convenient access to luxurious retailers and exquisite dining. Through every facet, Montage Beverly Hills embodies the essence of Hollywood's Golden Age. Those who experience it will come to know a life well-lived.

Montage Hotels & Resorts is an ultra-luxury hotel and resort management company founded by Alan Fuerstman in 2002.
