Montana's Triple Creek Ranch Offers Last Minute Fall Getaways
Whether seeking the thrill of mountain adventure, an authentic cowboy experience or simply relaxing in the outdoor splendor of the Bitterroot Mountains, the resort offers something for everyone.

This winter, special nightly room rates start at $950 per couple, per night and feature accommodations in a deluxe private cabin, three daily meals in the resort's world-class restaurant and activities, including: horseback riding, hiking, nature and birding tours, skijoring (a form of skiing where participants are drawn by mounted horses) and archery. Dog sledding and team penning (a hands-on, timed event, where guests/cowhands separate individual calves from the herd and move them to their separate pens) are available at an additional cost.

For those travelers looking for last-minute fall getaways, the resort is offering two, one-of-a-kind weekend events in November, which are included in the daily rate:

• Steelhead Fly Fishing Celebration, November 8-12 on the Salmon River. Led by resort owner Craig Barrett, this fishing trip is open to all experience levels and includes two days of guided fly fishing on the Salmon River, a day of trap shooting and 5-stand, and an Idaho fishing license.

• "Klicks for Chicks," November 8-12 and 15-19. This annual riding event is an all-female, four day, 100-kilometer ride through the Rocky Mountains that draws cowgirls and horsewomen from around the world. Riders venture into deep canyons, over mountain passes, past crystal-clear lakes and through open meadows by day and then return to the luxurious ranch for an evening full of pampering, fine dining, and a comfortable bed.
