Head of the Charles Regatta

An annual rite of October in New England, elite rowers from around the world will once again swarm the banks of the Charles River this October 22-23, 2016. Coming off the heels of the Rio Olympics, the 2016 Head of the Charles Regatta -- the world's largest two-day rowing event – will play host to Olympic medalists from the U.S. Women's Rowing team, as well as other medalists and top tier competitors from around the world. In all, more than 11,000 athletes and 400,000 spectators from around the globe will flock descend on the area around Boston for the 52nd rendition of this historic race. The event is free to watch from the banks of the Charles River. Premium viewing experiences can be purchased.

The 2016 Audi FIS Ski World Cup

For the first time since 1991, Alpine World Cup skiing returns to the U.S. East Coast, as the Audi FIS World Cup takes place at Killington Resort on November 26-27, 2016. An event 25 years in the making, the World Cup should be an exciting attraction for ski fans throughout the northeast. The World Cup event will include the women's giant slalom and slalom races and is expected to bring U.S. Ski Team superstars Julia Mancuso, Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn to compete against the best women's technical alpine skiers in the world. While reserved seating sold out quickly, a free access viewing area will be available for all fans to enjoy. The free area provides standing room access near the base of the Superstar trail with a jumbo screen for viewing the full race course. Free parking and shuttles will be available around Killington Resort, however patrons can pay to upgrade to a preferred parking pass at www.killington.com.
