New Full Service Beach Opens in Croatia
– Hotel Lone and Hotel Monte Mulini, sister hotels in Rovinj, Croatia, are launching a new beach club exclusively for hotel guests this summer. Opening in June, Mulini Beach will be located adjacent to the hotels on the Istria peninsula, offering direct access to Lone Bay Beach, a new seaside area being built by the properties’ parent company, Maistra, which owns and operates seventeen hotels and resorts in Croatia. Mulini Beach will offer a completely new experience in Rovinj, allowing guests to enjoy sun, and swimming in the Adriatic Sea along with light bites, sunbeds and a local DJ playing lounge music later in the day, with a casual vibe.

“We are thrilled to add Mulini Beach as another amenity and activity option for guests staying at Hotel Lone and Hotel Monte Mulini,” said Tomislav Popović, CEO, Maistra. “Offering a beach experience in Rovinj is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time and are excited about the opportunity for travelers to enjoy the destination in a new way."

Mulini Beach will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, accessible only by guests of Hotel Lone and Hotel Monte Mulini. As part of Lone Bay Beach, designed by architectural studio 3LHD, it will include a promenade designed to look like rock, with white concrete and natural white stone. Several sunbathing spaces along with areas designated for local Mediterranean vegetation will blend the entire promenade seamlessly with the nearby Cape Horne Forest

Mulini Beach will offer a menu punctuated by Croatian and Mediterranean flavors, along with creative cocktails and refreshments. Guests will have the option to enjoy light bites in a 50-seat open air dining area with stunning water views or have beachside service. Menu items will include tramezzini sandwiches, and salads along with chilled jars filled with local specialties such as chickpea puree, parsley salad with burgle and eggplant crème with lemon, popular with locals hot days.
Hotel Lone opened in June 2011 as Croatia’s first member of exclusive lifestyle brand Design Hotels AG. Designed by 3LHD, the same firm behind Lone Bay Beach, the hotel is a contemporary expression of classic Croatian resort hotels from the 1970s, with sea-facing terraces and large lobbies. Hotel Lone offers a spa, outdoor pool and terrace, three restaurants offering a mixture of traditional Croatian and Mediterranean style food, several bars and a Nightclub. Summer rates at Hotel Lone begin at 290 Euro per night, double occupancy, including breakfast.

Hotel Monte Mulini, a member of Leading Hotels of the World, opened in 2009, offering understated luxury and tranquility, in beautiful surroundings. The dramatic, contemporary building is built into the hillside of the Golden Cape, a lush stretch of coastline on Lone Bay, and features a glass wall over three levels greeting guests with undisturbed views of the sea as they check-in. All 113 guest rooms have balconies and the property’s two restaurants and a spa are popular with locals and visitors alike. Summer rates at Hotel Monte Mulini begin at 450 Euro per night, double occupancy, including breakfast.
