New Harbour Town Clubhouse is a Huge Hit at PGA TOUR Event
A whirlwind New York City media tour with 25 appearances in less than 24 hours that included a chat with the great David Letterman had to have been as exhilarating as it was exhausting.

Spieth and his fellow players will discover a year has also made a huge difference at The Sea Pines Resort. When they tee it up this week on Harbour Town Golf Links in the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing they'll benefit from multiple revitalization projects. Substantial investments by the legendary Lowcountry destination include the brand-spanking-new, 55,000-square-foot Harbour Town Clubhouse that opened just in time for the tournament.

The original clubhouse was demolished last year shortly after Matt Kuchar hoisted the winning trophy for the 2014 RBC Heritage crown. Marking the first time a facility of this magnitude has been built between two annual tournaments, the new $25 million structure is much larger than its predecessor and is as grand as they come. The rave reviews from the players have been unanimous.

“It's phenomenal,” says Graeme McDowell, winner of the 2013 RBC Heritage, as he made his way to the 10th tee during Wednesday's pro am.

Rapidly rising PGA TOUR star Patrick Reed said, “The new clubhouse is state-of-the-art and one of the best I've ever seen.”

Mostly the players gushed about the roomy 4,000-square-foot locker room suited to meet the needs of both PGA TOUR and everyday players alike. 2014 Fed Ex Cup champion Billy Horschel said, “It's exactly what you'd expect when you play a great course like Harbour Town.”

Eleven-time TOUR winner Zack Johnson chimed in saying, “The clubhouse looks terrific inside and is a great addition to Harbour Town.”

One of the many highlights of the building is the Hall of Champions showcasing the rich history of Harbour Town Golf Links and the RBC Heritage. A must visit, it includes Pete Dye's original course drawings and oil paintings of past champions such as Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell and Tom Watson.

Guests will also discover the culinary delights of Links – an American grill featuring indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the course -- the well-laid out 1,800-square-foot pro shop, plenty of event space ideal for weddings, receptions and meetings, and a private dining room for special occasions.
Perhaps charismatic Camilo Villegas summed it up perfectly, “The clubhouse is unbelievable. Everything in it is great.”

Harbour Town Clubhouse follows the opening of two additional bigtime projects at The Sea Pines Resort over the past year. The Plantation Golf Club clubhouse and golf learning center at its Heron Point by Pete Dye and Ocean Course opened in spring of 2014. The amenities of the 23,000-square-foot structure include an expansive pro shop, “Live Oak” bar and grill featuring tasty Lowcountry-inspired cuisine, 2,000-square-feet of event space, and spacious men's and women's locker rooms.

Last September, the resort debuted the splendid two-story 25,000-square-foot Sea Pines Beach Club presenting an inviting seaside atmosphere with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and distant Tybee Island. Its features include Coast, a beautifully appointed casual beachside restaurant and wrap-around oceanfront beach bar with seasonal entertainment; Ocean Lounge, a second floor bar and lounge area with panoramic ocean views; oceanfront beach bar; Atlantic Room, a special event space featuring an outdoor covered deck; Surfside Market, offering express concessions including freshly made salads, sandwiches and snacks; and Surf Shop, a retail space with a plethora of beach supplies

As both The Sea Pines Resort and Jordan Spieth now know full well, much can happen in 365 days.
