New Spa Opens at Bongani Mountain Lodge
African Hotels and Adventures (AHA), the tourism property management business of Tourvest's Accommodation and Activities division, said guests at the lodge can now enjoy soothing treatments designed to relax the spirit, harmonise the body, preserve youthfulness and enhance health and vitality. AHA was awarded the full management contract for the lodge in 2011.

“Africology products are made of natural ingredients that are bio-identical to your body and treatments will enhance the integrity of your skin while preventing premature ageing,” said AHA managing director Neil Bald. “All treatments are done in full view of the surrounding bush against the backdrop of the rugged beauty of the Malelane Mountains.”

Bald says the company is looking to roll out the Africology range of products at each of its properties that has a spa facility such as Gondwana Game Reserve, Thakadu River Camp, Casa do Sol, Makalali Private Game Reserve in South Africa as well as Azanzi Beach Hotel in Zanzibar and Mara River Lodge in Kenya.

Bongani Mountain Lodge offers one suite and 38 rooms designed in a timber and thatch motif. Twenty-nine rooms have double beds with ten of these containing a sleeper couch. The other nine rooms have twin beds, making the lodge an ideal venue for weddings or for a family holiday, particularly those families with children.

The Mthethomusha Game Reserve covers an area of 8 000 hectares and is bordered by the Kruger National Park's south west area. The game reserve is characterised by prominent granite outcrops and crags and is renowned for housing three distinct varieties of woodland flora, which are home to a variety of wildlife species. The area is also known for having one of the world's richest sources of San rock art.
