New York Restaurant Spice Market Offers Exotic New Dishes

Just in time for spring Spice Market's breezy outdoor patio, now open, is an ideal spot for dining with friends on a warm evening while taking in the action of the bustling Meatpacking District or for grabbing a light lunch while shopping in the neighborhood.

Renowned chef and Spice Market owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten has also debuted several exotic new dishes to his tantalizing menu of authentically uplifted versions of Southeast Asian street fare.

New dishes like Peeky Toe Crab Dumplings and Steamed Red Snapper with Shiitake Mushrooms are brimming with bold spices and flavors that transport diners to local flair of Vietnam, China and Thailand. Vongerichten's latest additions to the menu make a great pairing to Spice Market's most popular signature dishes including the Spiced Chicken Samosas with Cilantro Yogurt, Red Curried Duck and Ginger Fried Rice. And for dessert: Thai Jewels with Crushed Coconut Ice offers the perfect combination of refreshing and sweet to satisfy the ending to this sensual dining experience.

Ideal for those hotter days, Spice Market offers a variety of pleasingly different non-alcoholic drinks including the new Ginger-Lime Soda, Jasmine Lemonade and Cherry Yuzu Soda – all of which are made with fresh, natural ingredients.

Spice Market's tasting menu, $48 per person, offers diners an indulgent sampling of 10 flavors in 5 courses, a great way to fully experience the variety of unique flavors and ingredients found throughout the menu.

The restaurant offers group and private dining in the dining room or intimate "alcove rooms". For groups 12 or larger, several fixed price menus are available for either appetizers or full dinner service. Service is family style for all guests to share.
