Oetker Collection's Newest Hotel, Palacio Tangara, Opens in Sao Paulo
Embraced by Burle Marx Park, a veritable oasis in the center of São Paulo’s vibrant urban landscape, Palácio Tangará brings an exclusive new concept to the destination. Undoubtedly an unparalleled hotel in the Latin America’s financial capital, a cocoon of restrained luxury, this property represents a great complement to the portfolio and a major step for the Oetker Collection brand.

GASTRONOMY

Masterminded by Jean-Georges Vongerichten and helmed by Executive Chef Pascal Valero and Chef Felipe Rodrigues, Palácio Tangará features multiple gourmet dining spaces, including signature restaurant Tangará Jean-Georges with a display kitchen and Chef’s table, Park Lounge & Terrace serving afternoon tea, Burle Bar, Pool Bar for snacks and appetizers, and a Wine Cellar with Sommelier Gabriele Frizon.

SPA & LEISURE

Flora Spa offers six treatment rooms with exclusive experiences designed by Sisley-Paris. The fitness center features state-of-the-art equipment by Technogym, a semi-Olympic, heated indoor pool and outdoor, climatized 20-meter pool. The Kids Club includes a space dedicated to children, mini-cinema, toys and library.

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

Designed by Architect Patricia Anastassiadis, Palácio Tangará takes inspiration from Brazilian art and natural landscape. The Grand Lobby features “Papéis Avulsos,” by artist Laura Vinci, introducing the same greenery as found in Burle Marx Park. The Burle Bar features photographs of the Amazon rainforest signed by Cristian Cravo, Araquem Alcantara and Alessandro Gruetzmacher. In Tangará Jean-Georges, a green carpet imitates the bottom of the lake and reflection of the forest on the water. The walls feature ceramics with copper details and paintings created exclusively for Palácio Tangará by Heloisa Galvão.

“It was not a conventional project. It is a part of the Atlantic Forest, as well as an interesting mixture between European architecture and the sinuosity of the garden of Burle Marx. The mix of people and cultures is super resent in Brazil’s history and culture,” comments Anastassiadis.

The interiors of rooms and corridors are designed by Bick Simonato, using a blue, beige, grey and green color scheme. All rooms are designed to open to onto a balcony or terrace. Featured photography includes “Brasil” by Dani Tranchesi and Icons of São Paulo by Rômulo Fialdini.

Managing Director, Celso David do Valle, “Thanks to the support of our great partnering architects, designers and landscaper, Patricia Anastassiadis, Luiz Bick & William Simonato and Sergio Santana, together with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten for the gastronomy, Sisley for the spa, Oetker Collection expertise, and our great local team – with their legendary Brazilian warmth and smile – we have put together all the ingredients to make sure our guests will experience unique moments at Palácio Tangará, a true urban oasis.
