Forest Court: Is This the Most Exclusive Holiday Home in England?

Forest Court: Is This the Most Exclusive Holiday Home in England?
Near to the Dorset border and only a two hour drive from London, Forest Court is so sought after it can only be booked for two months of the year.

Luckily, those two months come in the balmy end of Summer (August and September in 2015, and July and August in 2016) so as long as the British weather stays on-side you'll have plenty of time to explore the surrounding area and everything it offers. A glorious, four mile walk through the neighboring Ringwood Forest will take you to the nearby village of Verwood, where you'll find quaint and quintessentially British shops (including a newsagent and a butcher) and of course, a couple of village pubs – staying true to a sense of Britishness, The Albion Inn is well worth a look (and even better for a pint!) Or perhaps you'd prefer to see another side of England? The seaside town of Bourneouth is close by, so head down and enjoy the sea breeze, seven miles of sandy beaches, an ice cream and of course, some of the best fish and chips you'll ever have tasted.

Forest Court

The property itself is a Georgian build that enjoys fantastic views over the immaculate sunken Italian garden (as well as the aforementioned forest), and its three bedrooms and proximity to the city made it perfect for long, peaceful getaways in the serenity of the English countryside. Forest Court actually started life as a model farm designed by renowned architect Samuel Wyatt at the end of the 18th Century, and forms part of the Somerly Estate with two other buildings, which sadly aren't available to rent – we did tell you this place was pretty exclusive! Even though you're part of an enclosed estate, you'll still be able to enjoy all the peace and quiet of the countryside, and what's more, you'll be enjoying it in one of the most prestigious holiday homes in England.

Forest Court

The whole of the Grade II listed building has been renovated with exacting detail, mirroring the classic Georgian design that exemplifies the house itself but adding a modern twist that'll charm visitors of all ages and tastes. The terrace overlooking the garden is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks, and the kitchen will entice chefs to show off their skills – you could even grab some locally sourced ingredients to give any meal a truly local flavor, and if you really want to impress then simply hire a chef who can whip you up a truly tasty British treat.

Forest Court

Whether you're looking for a weekend bolthole close to the city or somewhere you can truly relax over a long, lazy week or two, Forest Court offers luxurious accommodation set in beautiful rural surroundings. Not only that, there's a whole host of hiking, climbing and cycling close by that take advantage of the British countryside, so if you're visiting from abroad and you're a bit of an Anglophile you'll find plenty to enjoy!
This year's limited bookings have just opened up and are already starting to fill, so if Forest Court looks like the kind of place you'd love to spend some quality time with friends and family, head over to Oliver's Travels.
