PGA Golf Club Celebrates the Ryder Cup with Special Promotion
From Sept. 25th through Sept. 28th, golfers with a tee time on the Ryder and Wanamaker courses receive a bounceback coupon to play after 12 p.m. on Wednesdays or Sundays before Oct. 31, for a special anniversary rate of $19.96. Additionally, guests who take pictures with the Ryder Cup display or historical course markers and share them on social media using the hashtag #RyderCupLore and #RyderCourse will receive an exclusive gift.

Celebrating its 20th year as one of the top public golf facilities in South Florida, the Ryder Course is named after Ryder Cup founder, Samuel Ryder. The Tom Fazio design sprawls across rolling hills covered with majestic pine trees giving it a distinctly Carolinas feel. Generous fairways make it a popular destination for all skill levels, while meandering streams, several ponds and large bunkers provide stern challenges. Guests traversing the entertaining layout can learn more on the Ryder Cup's history as educational hole markers highlight significant moments in one of the greatest spectacles in sports.

The new Ryder Cup exhibit at the on-site PGA Gallery includes a Louisville Slugger commemorative baseball bat presented to the U.S. Team at Valhalla Golf Club in 2008; a replica Ryder Cup trophy presented to 1977 U.S. Captain Dow Finsterwald; a signed roster of the 1967 U.S. and Great Britain Teams; and a team photo from the 1961 Ryder Cup.

“Ryder Cup week is a special time for PGA Golf Club,” says Jimmy Terry, PGA Senior General Manager. “We're thrilled to offer our members and guests an opportunity to learn about one of the most exciting events in the game.”

Opened in 1996, PGA Golf Club is in the midst of a significant enhancement project. Its Wanamaker Course – which underwent extensive renovations to fairways and bunker surrounds – has earned high praise from golfers and publications alike. The acclaimed Dye Course is currently undergoing a complete re-grassing project and is scheduled to re-open in early November.

Complementing the course projects is the recently modernized 20,000 square-foot clubhouse, which includes the popular Taplow Pub named after the famed “Taplow Club,” a business group in the former Wanamaker Store in New York City, where in 1916, the formation of the PGA of America began.
