Portico Introduces New Excursions Series
In coordination with Natural Habitat Adventures, the new series is designed to provide the ultimate escape for families and friends looking to travel in a new way.

Portico Excursions place families in the forefront of some of the world's most beautiful settings, immersing them in a new locale and culture. Working closely with Portico and using their expert knowledge of each region, Natural Habitat Adventures created individual itineraries designed especially with Portico members in mind. Unique experiences include a cowboy-style dinner at a dude ranch after a day of touring the Grand Tetons in Yellowstone and the opportunity to snorkel with penguins in Bartolomé in the Galapagos. A specialized itinerary was also created just for Portico travelers participating in the Machu Picchu excursion, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Since its inception in 2012, Portico's curated collection of luxury vacation villas has grown to include homes selected by Portico in over 70 of the world's premier travel destinations, each offering an unmatched combination of luxury resort-style services including personalized pre-trip planning, on-site concierges and daily housekeeping with the space and privacy of a luxury home. Portico Excursions enhance Portico's luxury services by offering the very best expedition leaders from Natural Habitat Adventures. These experienced guides have expertly crafted tour itineraries designed to help members fully understand the culture of each exotic destination and expose them to the beauty, history and best experiences of each location. Excursion details include:

• Machu Picchu: Hidden for centuries, the ruins of this lost city - located 7,970 feet above sea level - will transport members back in time to the height of the Inca Empire. Members will experience Inca culture through a private shaman ceremony and visits to traditional markets, while taking in the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a guided walk. The excursion will end with a ride on the famous Vistadome train to the “Lost City of the Incas,” where members can explore Machu Picchu's complex passageways, steep staircases and hidden niches.

• The Galapagos Islands: Six hundred miles west of Ecuador lies a stunning archipelago of volcanic islands, home to some of the world's must unique wildlife. Expedition leaders will guide members through striking lava formations on a trek to the top of Pinnacle Rock for 360-degree views of the island. On the picturesque beaches, members will have chance encounters with the Sally Lightfoot Crab, Blue-footed Boobies and native penguins - animals that have fascinated scientists and researchers for centuries. Below the water, members will snorkel with sea lions and swim alongside the colorful marine life.

• Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming: Go on a nature safari through America's first national park located in the northwest corner of Wyoming. On this seven-day tour led by a seasoned Expedition Leader, members will go on a guided horseback tour through the park's spectacular wilderness and float down Snake River while marveling at elk, antelope, deer, bison, bald eagles, moose, bears, beavers and more. Complete the trip while gazing at Yellowstone's famous geyser, Old Faithful, and the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

The launch of Portico Excursions follows the recent announcement that four new destinations have been added to Portico's expertly curated collection. These homes – located in Palmetto Bluff, SC, Sun Valley, ID, Lake Geneva, WI and Cap Cana, Dominican Republic – give members and their families even more opportunities to travel the globe in the comfort of a luxury Portico villa.
