Deep in the heart of Belgravia, just next to Buckingham Palace, The Goring is within strolling distance of the Royal Parks and the best shops, theatres and galleries in town and has hosted many Royals from all over the world (including famously Kate Middleton her last night as a single lady before the Royal Wedding) BUT has only had a close brush with US presidents- namely President Obama who was in need of a late night snack last minute and requested to dine at The Goring's award winning restaurant The Dining Room - however as the restaurant had already closed for the evening they had to decline Obama's request - much to the hotel's disappointment - and Obama's too who was hoping to try the famous quintessentially English fare served by Chef Shay Cooper - London's youngest Michelin Starred chef. The Goring marked its 100th birthday in 2010 and the interiors have been refreshed by some of the country's finest designers.
