The 2015 Global Travel Experience Award was held on 8 September 2015 in Shanghai showcasing the world's best hotels and resorts, celebrating experience-based traveling from a consumer's perspective. 18 unique travel awards were presented by celebrities, media and travel industry leaders, including categories such as “Most Decadent Hotel Suite” and “Most Exotic Location”.

The winners of these awards are nominated both by a month-long public vote, and by professional travelers, which include media experts, celebrities, and hotel industry experts.

The only hotel in Singapore that was included in accolades, Raffles Singapore beat out competitors such as the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, Ritz Carlton's Hotel Arts Barcelona, Six Senses in Con Dao, Vietnam and London's The Dorchester in the “Best Story” category.
