Reasons to Travel to Sun Valley This March

Not only does Sun Valley have perfect ski weather for locals and travelers alike to enjoy, but this month, the city will be booming with multiple cultural events.

In early March, Sun Valley will welcome the Sun Valley Film Festival from February 28 - March 3, that includes a line up of feature films, documentaries, short films and more, as well as will honor actress Annette Bedding and director David O. Russell with Vision Awards.

Shortly after the film festival, Sun Valley Music Festival’s intimate winter season will arrive at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum from March 6-9, followed by the second annual Sun Valley Food & Wine Celebration. Taking place March 13-16, the much-anticipated fundraising event to support SVCI student education and forging culinary career opportunities while sustaining the Wood River Valley’s restaurant and hospitality community has expanded to include more events and celebrity chefs. The event features four days of demos, tasty bites, wine tastings, signature cocktails and more.

And at the hub of it all, sits Limelight Ketchum. Located in the heart of downtown Ketchum, the modern hotel provides easy access to shops, galleries, restaurants and nightlife, as well as Sun Valley Resort’s River Run Ski Base area. The hotel features 99 rooms and 14 residence units ranging from 2 Bedroom to 5 Bedroom condominiums, along with the Limelight Lounge restaurant and lobby bar  with live entertainment five nights per week during the winter and summer seasons. To easily transport to destinations like Bald Mountain or Spring skiing, Limelight Ketchum offers their Audi Experience, a complimentary car service guests can use during their stay on property.

During the Sun Valley Food & Wine Festival, Limelight Ketchum has partnered with the event to host an Après Ski Tasting on Saturday, March 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. with all participating chefs, including international Cazadores tequila spokesperson and mixologist Manny Hinojosa. Tasting stations throughout the Limelight Lounge will be prepared by the Celebration’s celebrity, regional and local chefs. Tickets are $175 per person and are available at sunvalleyculinary.org.
