Regent Beijing Awarded Platinum Circle Status by Condé Nast Traveler

Regent Beijing Awarded Platinum Circle Status by Condé Nast Traveler
Entry into the Platinum Circle is awarded to hotels, resorts and cruise lines that have been voted onto the coveted annual Readers' Choice Awards Gold List for 5 years running. In fact, Regent Beijing is one of only two hotels in Beijing to have ever earned Platinum Circle status.

In addition to this remarkable distinction, Regent Beijing ranked 2nd out of four Beijing hotels that made it onto the 2013 Gold List, with an impressive Readers' Choice Rating of 93.1, and was one of only three hotels in the capital to make it onto China's Top 10 – along with five Hong Kong hotels and two in Shanghai.

Condé Nast Traveler readers applauded the hotel's “extremely spacious” rooms, filled with traditional artwork, “wonderfully deep soaking tubs” and “large picture windows that allow sweeping views of the Forbidden City”.

Readers singled out The Serenity Spa for its treatments from China, Thailand and Europe, and noted, “The pool is fabulous.”

"This latest recognition by Condé Nast Traveler's savvy international travelers underlines our commitment to firmly establish Regent Beijing's renown among the very best hotels in the world, offering the best in 21st century hospitality without sacrificing Chinese tradition,” said Managing Director, George Benney.

This latest accolade for the luxurious 500-room property, nestled between Beijing's sleek, modern business district and the ancient hutongs of traditional China, follows last year's recognition in the Hurun Presidential Suite Awards 2011.

Honored for having the "Top Presidential Suite” in Beijing, which “elegantly interweaves contemporary luxury with the exquisite charm of historic China”, it also received an award for “Best Chinese/Western Fusion Style" cuisine. Regent Beijing was also voted "One of the World's Best Hotels" last year by travel website Expedia.

Regent Beijing recently expanded its culinary offerings with the opening of legendary American steakhouse Morton's of Chicago, while Hong Kong's Michelin-starred Lei Garden Restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2013.
