Ritz-Carlton Montreal Announces New Spa
The new Spa St. James at Ritz-Carlton Montreal offers 5,500 square feet of contemporary, elegant space, including 12 treatment rooms, a manicure-pedicure suite, and a full service hair salon. Guests can enjoy a spa menu influenced by its setting, including Quebeçois-themed treatments that feature local specialties, such as maple-based products. Spa services are available to hotel guests as well as day spa visitors.

“There is a common thread between Ritz-Carlton Montreal and the Spa St. James that goes beyond a commitment to excellence and a dedication to service—both are well-respected institutions, and have deep family values," said Ritz-Carlton Montreal General Manager and CEO, Andrew Torriani. "Together with Spa St. James we are delighted to offer our guests a new spa experience.”

The spa is the latest chapter in a vibrant history at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, with new and elevated offerings including the launch of Canada’s first Dom Pérignon Champagne Bar in the Palm Court in Autumn 2014, and an extensive multi-million dollar renovation in 2012, when the hotel reopened following a four year closure.

Spa St. James was in its previous location on Montreal's Crescent Street since 2001, and has been in operation for 26 years under family-run owners, Carol St. James and her son, Jordan.

“The Spa St. James on Crescent Street opened February 23, 2001, so it's poetic that 15 years later we open our doors at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal on the same day,” said Spa Director, Jordan St. James. “We are so pleased to move Montreal’s most-coveted spa into the city’s most iconic hotel, providing our longstanding clientele with greater options, and a more elegant spa experience. The new spa will set the standard for luxury in Montreal’s spa industry.”

Spa St. James at Ritz-Carlton Montreal offers guests and day spa visitors a diverse range of luxurious spa products, including Cellcosmet Switzerland, Nelly Devuyst and Kevin Murphy. Signature treatments created for the Ritz-Carlton Montreal include:

• The St. James Signature “Facelift”;
• The Ritz-Carlton Montreal Maple Sugar Experience;
• And, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal Maple Sugar Massage, a two-hour experience incorporating hand-crafted maple products from Magog, Quebec.
