With all eyes on Rio de Janeiro this summer for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we take a glimpse at what this incredible sporting destination – and previous host cities – have to offer.

RIO 2016

Rio de Janeiro is the first city in South America to host the Games. A dynamic destination that will deliver unbeatable energy, sunshine, cuisine, tradition and culture. Following Brazil's success winning gold in both the women's volleyball and judo at London 2012, it is likely the advantage of the home crowd this summer will spur the athletes on even more!

Fasano Rio

It's difficult to forget the iconic landmarks of Sydney Harbour illuminated by the incredible closing ceremony fireworks display. Sydney 2000 also celebrated 100 years of women's participation in the Olympic Games.
