Rocco Forte Collection Opens New Luxury Resort in Sicily
The Rocco Forte Collection has officially opened its 13th hotel property and first resort, the Verdura Golf and Spa Resort in Sicily.
The 570-acre resort, complete with 1.2 miles of private coastline, two 18-hole and one nine-hole golf courses, a 43,000-square-foot spa and four restaurants, is situated in a corner of southwest Sicily, a one-hour drive from Palermo.
Sir Rocco Forte, chairman and CEO of The Rocco Forte Collection, said, "Verdura offers an incredible feeling of space for those staying in the 203 rooms and suites of the hotel. My sister Olga Polizzi has worked very hard to create a look that is both luxurious and striking; our guests will know they are waking up in Sicily."
As part of an introductory promotion, guests will receive perks such as complimentary dinner and greens fees. Prices start at $590 per room, per night based on two people sharing a deluxe room including breakfast in the low season, and $1,123 in the high season. All guests booking a stay at Verdura through Dec. 31 can use the resort's introductory promotion offering guests a series of additional benefits at no extra cost, including dinner, golf and spa treatments.
