The contribution of the new General Manager, Marco Milocco, is very important to this project: under his expertise, the ancient Roman residence is experiencing an exciting phase of rebirth, which will bring the Hotel d'Inghilterra to new glories.

In order to maintain the own identity and with the aim to offer a high level of comfort, enhancing the aesthetics of any environment, the Hotel d'Inghilterra continues with passion and dedication the deep renewal plan, providing additional actions in the coming months: the Countess Cristina Gotti Lega is the Artistic Director and Renovation Project Manager, as well as Interior Design of Hotel d'Inghilterra.

Mother of Luigi De Simone Niquesa, founder of the group, the Countess plays a very important role in works' organization, with a careful and wise selection of furnishings and suitable enlightenment, choosing fabrics and colors chromatic tonalities, to pursue modulation and space optimization.

After the renovation of two floors of the hotel, the month of August 2012 saw the total renewal of the public areas and of another floor of the Hotel d'Inghilterra.

The refined reception guests point has been moved in order to provide an appropriate and elegant space to the most important reception moment: chestnut wood counter, soft light lamps as well as refined details, invite guest to plunge into the Hotel d'Inghilterra warm atmosphere.

In an intimate atmosphere, at the ground floor, are located three lounges which have been enriched by chromatic tones distinguishing each other, and from whom they are respectively named “Green”, “Orange” and “Pink”, meeting the English atmosphere further emphasized by lighting, pictures and pieces of art, with a wonderful view directly on Via Borgognona, to remember the encounter between Roman elegance and real English style, as an union that represents the historical identity of the Hotel d'Inghilterra since 1845.


On the second floor, guests will find 20 rooms decorated with great value antiques, refined furnishings and unique fabrics, which are classic and sophisticated, distinguished by enchanting pastel colors, such as sugar paper and Veronese green, dove-color and tobacco brown ochre.

Other interventions will continue in the coming months with a focus on restaurant Café Romano and on the first and the fifth floor rooms of the hotel. The third, fourth and sixth floors have already seen an intense renewal, which is an additional value to the traditional furniture of Hotel d'Inghilterra, new choices in terms of design, proposing a whole image made both of elegance à la page and artistic sensibility in colors, works and furnishings.
