Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi Introduces Opera Concierge
Wesley Geyer, the Inn’s first Opera Concierge, can assist guests in obtaining opera tickets and coordinating “Tailgating for Two” for guests to enjoy chic alfresco dinners at the Santa Fe Opera’s picturesque grounds. Wesley works with guests both before and during their stay to coordinate unique cultural activities around Santa Fe, including behind-the-scenes tours of the opera, lively and informative lectures by opera staff, outdoor concerts, cooking classes, museum tours and much more.

Wesley is also available to help guests arrange for unique dining experiences surrounding the Santa Fe Opera, including a pre-show prix fixe dinner, post-show in room bites and a special picnic menu called “Tailgating for Two.” Available on opera performance nights, these three menus allow guests to enjoy the Anasazi Restaurant’s renowned cuisine before, during and after the opera. The new special opera menus include:

  • Tailgating for Two: Tailgating at the Santa Fe Opera is a classy affair involving fine wines, linen tablecloths, beautiful dresses and gourmet picnics. For guests to join in on the festivities, Chef Edgar Beas can prepare an elegant meal for guests to take to the opera’s grounds, including menu items such as house smoked salmon on brioche topped with dill crème fraiche and smoked trout roe, a charcuterie plate or an artisanal cheese plate, packed alongside starters such as homemade chicharones and spicy peanuts and dessert options such as seasonal macaroons or fresh summer fruit. Chef can also customize picnic baskets based on guests’ preferences. The meal will be perfectly packed alongside a quaint bistro set, candles and wine glasses for a one-of-a-kind picnic for two. Tailgating for Two must be ordered at least 72 hours in advance and is priced at $75 per couple.

  • Opera Prix Fixe Menu: Available from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, guests can enjoy an exceptional three-course meal at the Anasazi Restaurant before departing for the Santa Fe Opera. The meal begins with a beautiful young beet salad with cress, goat milk curd, lime and apricot as a palate-enticing appetizer, before progressing into an entrée of wild salmon with corn pudding, braised bacon and Romano beans. A honey panna cotta or chocolate cremeaux ends the meal on a sweet note. The Opera Prix Fixe Menu is priced at $45 per person.

  • Opera Late Night Menu: For night owls seeking a bite to eat after the opera, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi’s Opera Late Night Menu offers gourmet snacks and bites that guests can enjoy in the comfort of their room. Before departing for the opera, guests choose from a menu that includes house-made chicharonnes and spiced peanuts, marinated olives, and a cheese plate, and the dishes will be delivered to the room before guests arrive back at the hotel.
