Rosewood Little Dix Bay Unveils New Tree House Suites
The newest yet most historic and renowned guestrooms at the legendary resort, the Tree House Suites are the rebirth of the iconic, stilted Tree House Cottages originally built by Laurance S. Rockefeller, Rosewood Little Dix Bay's founder and designer. Originally opened in 1964 by Rockefeller, the new Suites also mark the completion of the first phase of Rosewood Little Dix Bay's three-year, multi-million dollar renovation to comm emorate its 50th Anniversary.

The pioneer of the eco-tourism movement and one of the hospitality industry's most visionary resort designers, Laurance Rockefeller's original design for the Tree House accommodations remains intact with their stilted, all-natural external structure. Internally, the ten original Tree House Cottages have undergone a full transformation into five luxurious and spacious standalone Tree House Suites. Just steps from the beach and clear-blue waters of the Sir Francis Drake Channel, the new Suites feature expanded wraparound terraces with unobstructed panoramic beach views from an elevated perspective, in addition to shaded garden patios directly beneath the Suites.

To infuse natural elements of the island, the Suites' interiors feature authentic Virgin Gorda design elements set in almost 1,000 square feet of interior living space. The enhanced bathrooms feature dual vanities, a separate tub and indoor shower, as well as a luxurious outdoor shower.

“The Tree House Cottages are one of the strongest representations of Rockefeller's legacy in creating a haven for naturalists at Rosewood Little Dix Bay,” notes Edward Linsley, managing director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. “Transforming these iconic accommodations into stunning new Suites was the perfect way to kick off the resort's ambitious Golden Anniversary enhancements, and we are excited to welcome our most-discerning guests with these luxurious new hideaways.”
To commemorate the unveiling of the Tree House Suites, Rosewood Little Dix Bay has created a special Tree House Suite Getaway package for two, which includes daily breakfast, a private beach dinner, a sunset cruise and a special dinner at the Sugar Mill restaurant.

For guests looking for a larger blow-out celebration, the 50th Birthday Buyout package features a full Tree House Suite buyout for guests who share the resort's 50th birthday year. The 50th Birthday Buyout package includes a booking of all five suites for up to ten guests and includes a beach barbeque dinner for the group, a private sunset cruise, daily breakfast for all guests, dinner in the Sugar Mill's private dining room and a special 50th birthday cake custom made by the resort's Executive Chef.
