Salvatore Ferragamo Introduces New Bag, Fiamma

In 1914, the Italian shoe designer emigrated to Hollywood, where he began designing shoes for stars like Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren. He crafted the iconic red ruby shoes for Dorothy (Judy Garland) in The Wizard of Oz. When he passed away in 1960, Ferragamo left his company to 19-year-old Fiamma, who took over the business and expanded the company to include handbags, clothing, perfume, eyewear, and other accessories.
