Guests are invited to escape to our Rocky Mountain paradise to enjoy all the resort and destination has to offer. From soaking up rays at our outdoor pool to roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, we invite guests of all ages to explore our majestic mountain resort. Highlights for summertime include:

Naturalist Program:

This unique feature at the resort is included in the daily resort fee and provides guests the opportunity to explore the wild and fascinating ecosystem guided by Resident Naturalist, Ranger Jackie. She brings vast knowledge of the area, enthusiasm for nature and adventures to every program to give guests an exciting and memorable outdoor escape. Group and private activities are available and include daily hikes –some with Belle, the property's resident Bernese Mountain Dog, evening stargazing, art-in-nature, geocaching and more. Market on the Mountain:

The 3rd Annual Market on the Mountain features local farmers, vendors, and produce with live entertainment and the beautiful backdrop of the Vail Valley. At this Bachelor Gulch “farmers market”, guests will each receive one complimentary draft beer and custom Bachelor Gulch reusable bags will be available for purchase. Fridays, July 3rd - August 28th. 3-6pm on Mountainside Terrace

Bachelors Lounge Sip & Smoke Series and Garden Cocktail Classes:

The 2nd Annual Sip & Smoke series are interactive classes which feature different Vaportinis, alcohol varieties, Hookahs and cigars so patrons can enjoy multiple ways to sip and smoke the night away. Every other Wednesday starting July 8th, 5-6pm.
A new offering this season is a Garden Cocktail Class where guests can learn how to craft molecular drinks with an interactive mixology lesson. The Bachelors Lounge team has crated “mini gardens” where ingredients can be freshly picked and used for the cocktail including making bitters and simply syrup. Fridays starting July 3rd, 4-5pm.

Spago Wine Dinner Series & Pizza Making Classes:

Bachelor Gulch Sommelier, Jason Hunter, is back at it with Chef Jared Montarbo as they create unforgettable wine and food pairings. Guests will also experience the wine making process firsthand, from perfecting the right grape to the fun of grape smashing. July 2nd, Rhone Varietals; August 6th, Bordeaux Around the World; September 3rd, Wines of Oregon.

Spago Chef Jared Monarbo along his world class culinary team will share the artistic craft of pizza making in a hands-on culinary experience using seasonal and local ingredients to create the perfect pizza-from the kitchen to the oven. These afternoon classes are offered for adults and children. For the true epicurean, Ritz-Carlton chef hats and aprons are available for purchase. Saturdays and Sundays starting July 4th.

From the River to the Table: New to Summer 2015, guests have the opportunity to experience a true “Daily Catch.” Partnering with Fly-Fishing Outfitters, they can spend the day learning to tie their own flies, mastering how to properly cast, and fishing at the local hot spots. When guests return to the resort, the Buffalos Culinary Team will create a delectable fish dinner from the day's fresh catch. Contact concierge for exact dates.

Celebrity Farmer Dinners: Each week at Buffalos and Spago, a different local “celebrity farmer” will be featured creating a three-course Market-to-Table Tasting Menu. Using the farmer's produce from the day's Market on the Mountain, you will savor the summer flavors of Colorado with this unique culinary journey. Friday evenings, July 3rd - August 28th.
