Scrub Island Resort to Host Wine Dinner Series During 2013 BVI Wine & Food Festival
The Wine Dinner Series begins Thursday, Oct. 31 at the resort, with Top Chef competitor Chef Jennifer Carroll serving up a Caribbean seafood dinner utilizing local fish, shellfish and produce, paired with wines hand selected by Caribbean Cellars. A platinum event sponsor, Scrub Island Resort has also created four- and five-night VIP packages built around the international BVI Wine & Food Festival.

Joining Chef Carroll in the line-up of nightly featured chefs in the Wine Dinner Series are Francois Payard, named James Beard ‘Pastry Chef of the Year'; Cesare Casella, Dean of Italian Studies at the International Culinary Center; Roberto Leoci, named one of America's top chefs in the Best Chefs America guide; along with Imran Ashton, Travis Phillips and Scrub Island's very own executive chef, Davide Pugliese. A highlight of the series will be a collaborative dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2, as five featured chefs team up to prepare an unforgettable five course dinner at the resort's Caravela restaurant. Individual tickets for each Wine Dinner Series event range from $150 to $200 per plate. For parties of up to 24 guests, a private-dining experience at the Candle Room in Scrub Island Resort's Caravela restaurant is available for $4,200 per evening.

Scrub Island Resort will also host the Farewell Sunday Brunch and Pool Party on its multi-tier infinity pool deck with spectacular views of azure waters and neighboring islands. A sumptuous selection of breakfast favorites, gourmet delicacies, grilled-to-order dishes, fresh seafood, imported cheeses, charcuteries, carved meats, lavish desserts, and free-flowing Mimosas and Bloody Marys will be available from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Starting at $782, the VIP Festival package allows guests to easily take advantage of all the activities on Scrub Island and the nearby Grand Tasting Village at Nanny Cay Resort Beach. The four-night package includes four nights in an Ocean-View guestroom, two Wine Dinners Series tickets for all four evenings, breakfast daily for two at Caravela, and one lunch for two on North Beach in a private natural setting. The five-night package includes the same amenities as the four-night package, plus an upgrade to five nights in a stunning Ocean-View, one-bedroom suite and a 60-minute couple's massage in the award-winning Ixora Spa.
