Seasonal Specials and More This Summer in Anguilla
Incredible white sand beaches, seasonal packages and rates, as well as two weeks of fun and festivities in August with the annual Summer Festival: it's officially summer on the alluring island of Anguilla. In addition to exciting events, summer in Anguilla also brings spectacular savings, which include affordable three-course menus at some of the island's finest restaurants, and incomparable savings at select resorts, hotels and villas as part of Anguilla's Summer Prix Fixe Program, now in its fifth year.

Upcoming Events

With more than two weeks of fun and festivities, the Anguilla Summer Festival highlights the island's national sport, boatracing, as well as the music and pageantry that define a traditional Caribbean carnival experience. The festival kicks off on July 2 and continues to build until the official launch on Monday, August 4, also known as J'Ouvert Morning. The highlight of the week-long celebrations, J'Ouvert Morning, features invigorating street dancing that begins at 4:30 a.m. with revelers grooving to Caribbean soca rhythms as they journey through the island's capital down to Sandy Ground. The celebrations, featuring boatracing, great music, and delectable beach BBQ's, continue throughout the day and well into the night on the white sands of Road Bay for what is known as the Caribbean's biggest beach party.

Other must-see Summer Festival events include: August Thursday, the first Thursday in August and a day for picnics and family reunions; and the A&B class boatraces at Meads Bay; The Grand Parade of Troupes, complete with elaborate costumes from Anguillians of all ages that showcase elements of culture and fantasy; and The Leeward Islands' Calypso Monarch Competition, which features the musical showdown of the year as Calypso Kings from throughout the Leeward Islands vie for the title of King of Kings. The festival climaxes with the Champion of Champions Boatrace on Sandy Ground on Sunday, August 10. For more information, please visit https://anguillasummerfestival.com/.
