Shangri-La Hotel, Paris Launches Autumn Fruit and Vegetable Cocktails
These original cocktails based on seasonal fruits and vegetables will be available at the hotel bar starting September 22, 2015 to celebrate the arrival of this new season.

Prince Roland Bonaparte, a great traveler and lover of botany, assembled the largest private herbarium in the world: 2,500,000 samples covering almost 100,000 species. By 1896, he had installed it in the magnificent mansion that he commissioned at 10, avenue d'Iéna.

The Autumn Collection comes in two vegetable and four fruit versions, each combined with a spirit that brings out its natural flavor: pumpkin or beetroot for vegetables; pear, fig, grape or kiwi for fruit. The variety of fruits and vegetables provide an overview of the French regions. These cocktails will be available to guests for €26 (about US $29.13) each.

Added to the menu are two non-alcoholic cocktails: one made with fresh almond milk and Medjool dates; while the other combines yellow carrot with ginger for maximum refreshment. Another particular advantage of these cocktails is they are served in vintage glass jars made by Mason, the cult American brand since 1858. These drinks will be available to guests for €20 (about US$22.41) each.

Sublimely refreshing and resolutely innovative, these fruit and vegetable cocktails are served at the chic and cozy Shangri-La Hotel, Paris’ Le Bar. Inspired by the decoration of the Château de Malmaison, typical of the Napoleonic “return from Egypt” style, Le Bar sports a black granite, bronze and mahogany counter accentuated by celadon shades particularly popular in Asia, creating a cozy atmosphere.

• Fig: Caromb black fig, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Fig syrup
• Beetroot: Chioggia beetroot, fresh raspberries, Grey Goose Vodka, ginger ale
• Pumpkin: Red kuri squash, hazelnut brandy, cinnamon syrup
• Pear: Comice pear, Morand Williamine, white Cacao liqueur
• Kiwi: Adour kiwi, Leblon Cachaça, lime, ginger beer
• Grape: Chasselas grapes, G’Vine Gin, St Germain Liqueur, Sancerre blanc

Non-alcoholic - €20 (about US$22.41)

• Almond: Fresh almond milk, Medjool dates, orgeat syrup
• Carrot: Doubs Yellow Carrot, fresh ginger, carrot espuma
