Shangri-La Hotel, Paris Unveils 3 Summer Terraces

SHANGRI-LA ROOFTOP LOUNGE OPENS FROM 12TH JULY TO 6TH AUGUST

Shangri-La Hotel, Paris reveals its scoop for this summer. From July 12, to August 6, 2014, the hotel’s emblematic suite on the seventh and highest floor opens its panoramic terrace with Krug Champagne.

La Suite Shangri-La, with its 100-square-meter (1076-square-foot) terrace, offers the perfect perspective to sip on a glass of Krug Champagne while enjoying breathtaking views of the most popular French monument, the Eiffel Tower.

Each evening from 5 to 11.30 p.m. in a cozy lounge atmosphere, a small number of guests will have the privilege of tasting a variety of renowned Krug Champagne vintage accompanied by Petrossian Caviar.

Shangri-La Rooftop Lounge will open from July 12 to August 6, 2014 from 5 to 11.30 p.m. Reservations can be made at +33 1 53 67 19 98 starting June 15, 2014. Rate is at €450 (approx. US$613) for two people including a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée.

Guests may enjoy an exceptional evening during the traditional Bastille Day fireworks on July 14, 2014. Rate is at €800 (approx. US$1,090) for two people including a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée and Petrossian Caviar. Reservation is required at +33 1 53 67 19 98.

SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, PARIS OPENS LA 8 IENA, THE NEW 16TH ARRONDISSEMENT VENUE

Shangri-La Hotel, Paris will reveal its new address on June 2, 2014 with the opening of La 8 Iéna, a seasonal summer terrace located in front of the hotel and directly accessible from Avenue d'Iéna.

Executive Chef Philippe Labbé has specially designed a menu that will satisfy small and large appetites: light salads, such as mixed salad with crab meat and grapefruit, French and Asian dishes and the Chef's creation, the Asian-Style Burger: a delicious Cantonese-style duck and crab hamburger.

Gourmands will also delight in Pastry Chef François Perret’s creations such as the strawberry salad, mint jelly.

An ice-cream trolley, specially created for La 8 Iena, will be a major attraction of the terrace. The trolley will feature various flavors of homemade ice-creams and sorbets, guaranteed to make guests’ mouths water. This includes flavors such as peaches poached with currant juice and verbena or raspberries and fresh strawberries.

The landscaped terrace, adorned with floral and greens, secluded from the city by wrought-iron gates, will quickly become the new place to be in Paris!

La 8 Iéna will be open from June 2, to mid-September 2014 from Noon to 10:30 p.m. (late lunch menu available in the afternoon).

THE SUMMER TERRACE

From July 10 to September 7, 2014, the summer terrace on the second floor of Shangri-La Hotel, Paris will open its doors once again. Sip exclusive Belvedere cocktails whilst enjoying the sunset.

This exceptional and unique setting, with its uninterrupted view of the Eiffel Tower, will be open daily from 4 to 11:30 p.m.

To make things more exquisite, the hotel’s head barman has developed a special range of Belvedere Vodka cocktails, best sipped around the square, luminous bar designed especially for the occasion.

The terrace’s flagship cocktail will be the Asian Dry Belvedere. Composed of Belvedere Unfiltered, lemon juice, a dose of dry vermouth infused with rose, lotus, litchi tea and sugar, this cocktail for discerning tastes is as fresh and delightful as summer in Paris.

The summer terrace, on the first floor of the hotel, will be open daily to public from July 10 to September 7, 2014, from 4 to 11:30 p.m. No reservations.
