Singita Launches Exclusive Serengeti House in Tanzania

Singita Launches Exclusive Serengeti House in Tanzania
Situated on the western corridor of the world famous Serengeti National Park, Singita Serengeti House will offer guests exclusive use accommodation and access to 350,000 acres of private land, providing an unparalleled safari experience.

Positioned on the lower slopes of Sasakwa Hill and with the wide Serengeti plains spreading out before it, this once manager's house has now been transformed into an exclusive African getaway. Following on-going demand from travellers for privacy – and most notably from families – Serengeti House is an exclusive use retreat idyllically located within easy sight of a watering hole.

Opening on 15 June 2012, the Singita Serengeti House will accommodate 8 guests in 2 spacious suites located in the main house and 2 additional garden suites all featuring private outdoor showers and terraces. In addition, the main house comprises large dining and lounge areas, ample decked areas with day beds, a 25m swimming pool and a private tennis court.

Designed to suit friends and families alike, Singita Serengeti House features comfortable, carefree interiors and a relaxed, unpretentious ambience. Simple classic furniture combining bleached raw woods and a palette of white, ebony and ivory delivers a modern yet quintessentially African feel. Singita's award winning interior designers Cecile & Boyd's have used materials such as leathered black Zimbabwe granite in the bathrooms, textured paints and wallpapers, sandblasted timbers, pigmented cement and fireplaces clad with rough local stone from floor to ceiling to create a bold but inviting property whilst Singita - already renowned for their award winning community and wildlife initiatives – have taken great steps to investigate and implement some of the best "green" policies incorporating water efficiency, energy consumption, materials and resources.

Guests staying at Serengeti House can also expect to sample Singita's signature experience - fantastic safari activities with a private guide and vehicle, dedicated staff offering superb personalised service, delectable cuisine by a private chef and access to an impressive selection of the finest wines. Casual dinners, hearty breakfasts and light, healthy lunches lounging on the lawn are likely to be firm favourites in this home-like environment. Further still, in order to ensure the upmost in relaxation and personalisation, itineraries, meals and activities will be "made to order" in accordance with each guest's needs.

Exclusive use stays start from US$7500 per night for 4 guests including all meals, drinks and activities.
