Small Luxury Hotels of the World Announces 2012 as Brand's Best Year
Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) is reporting 2012 to be its best year ever in its 21 years in business. With an increase of 10% year-to-year in terms of room nights and nine percent in terms of revenue, SLH delivered 341,000 room nights and generated $119 million in revenue for the year.

The SLH Club added 56,000 members to its loyalty club, a 46% growth compared to 2011, making the club 190,000 members strong. The activation rate for Club Members has also increased by 18% and Club Revenue by 38%. The goal for 2013 is to increase the top tiered Club Members by over 50%. According to Paul Kerr, CEO for SLH, "This may seem like a lofty goal but with such a great product we're confident it's achievable."

The home website, slh.com, has received nearly 4 million visits in 2012, an impressive 19% year-to-year increase. Reservations through the site have gone up by 26% and SLH.com increased its share of bookings by 15% compared to the previous year. iPad visits, totaling close to 500,000, improved by 167% in 2012 and iPhone visits increased by 132%, showing the escalating growth in new technology.

The brand is also celebrating the addition of 63 new hotels in 2012, including 13 in the Americas, 17 in the Asia Pacific region and 33 in Europe/Middle East/Africa regions. Some of these new hotels are in key areas such as Hawaii, Israel, The Galapagos, Japan, China and Nicaragua.
