Sofitel Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Sofitel Wine Days
"Sofitel Wine Days" offers a unique opportunity for guests to discover Sofitel's famous French Art de Vivre with month-long festivities taking place September 29 through October 31, 2014, in all North American properties to celebrate the harvest that traditionally takes place in France each September.

Guests at Sofitel properties in New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco and Montreal, will be able to discover French wines including Bordeaux, Alsace, Languedoc, Loire, Rhône and more. Through an array of interactive events at the hotels, Sofitel guests will celebrate the art of wine making, and learn more about the featured vintners and sample some of the world's most exquisite vintages. Activity highlights across the North American properties include:

• Sofitel New York guests will enjoy a reception on September 29 with Laurent-Perrier champagne from Trinchero Family Estates in the Gaby Private Dining Room, and a special Wine Days prix fixe menu with unique wine pairings that will vary throughout the month.
• Sofitel Los Angeles will celebrate with a "Sofitel Wine Days" opening party on September 29 and wine tastings in the lobby featuring wines from different French regions throughout the month including Roederer and Riesling-Trimbach.
• Sofitel San Francisco guests will be welcomed on September 29 with Champagne and will have the opportunity to have French wine by Esprit du Vin paired with cheese as they take in light jazz tunes. Guests can also attend a Gastronomy Wine Dinner on October 29.
• Sofitel Miami will host a wine appreciation class on October 8, a Wine and Cheese Garden Party on October 15 and a poolside Wine Cocktail School on October 22.
• Sofitel Chicago will offer House of Moet tastings in Le Bar as well as a VIP Moet Tasting in the Presidential Suite. The hotel will welcome guests at check-in on select Fridays in October with Louis Roederer Champagne. Guests can also enjoy a Chateau Lafite Tasting with food pairings by Chef Biggers on October 23 in the Cigale Room.
• Sofitel Washington, D.C. offers guests a welcome champagne Roederer drink on October 16, a wine and champagne dinner pairing on October 14 and a wine social hour with Esprit Du Vin. Guests can also partake in a "Tour de France" two-hour wine class on October 29.
• Sofitel Philadelphia will host an art and wine event that will unveil new art in the hotel's lobby from artist Robion at Goartonline on October 30. Guests can also enjoy a wine fair in the lobby and lounge bar area with food tastings as well as a Wine and Oyster pairing event October 25.
• Sofitel Montreal will welcome guests with VIP drinks and French wine tasting in the Renoir restaurant; a Presidential Suite dinner hosted by a French winemaker and a Wine Days menu by Chef Olivier Perret throughout October. Guests can also attend a Mixology Night with an experienced mixologist.

Further honoring Sofitel's 50th Anniversary, starting on September 29th guests and locals who attend Sofitel Wine Days events and share their moments using the hashtag #SoWineDays on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter social media platforms have the opportunity to win a grand reward prize to Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Ile, the first Sofitel to open in the world in 1964. The winner will be officially announced on November 5th and the package prize includes:
