Sofitel Opens New Luxury Hotel in Abu Dhabi

Part of the new Capital Plaza Complex, the hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance to the city's seafront and business districts, and is easily accessible to popular tourist attractions, including Yas Marina and Ferrari World.

The hotel features 282 rooms and suites that elegantly blend modern Arabic design with an authentic French touch. With furniture inspired by renowned French painter and sculptor, Daniel Buren, a Pierre Soulages painting, Jean Cocteau lithographs, and Brancusi-inspired sculptures throughout the property, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche paints the perfect picture of contemporary French style and Arabic influence.

The new hotel boasts diverse culinary offerings with six bars and restaurants. Guests can experience the best of French and Middle-Eastern food at Corniche All Day Dining, enjoy Gulf seafood at the property's fine dining restaurant, La Mer, or dine at Silk and Spice, which offers a contemporary take on traditional Thai cuisine. For the perfect after-work locale, guests can relax with live music at Jazz'N Fizz Bar and later stop over at Le Café for a selection of authentic French patisseries, tarts, chocolates, and macaroons. Finally, Chill'O pool bar and terrace gives guests the opportunity to watch the sun set over the glistening Arabian Gulf.

A full service property, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche offers So FIT, an expansive swimming pool on the hotel's terrace, and So SPA, featuring five treatment rooms, two hammams with private baths, a scrub and deep relaxation room, a dry sauna, and a steam room. Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche marks the third Sofitel opening in 2012. In February, the brand celebrated the openings of Sofitel Mumbai BKC and Sofitel So Bangkok.
