Sofitel Washington D.C. Unveils 'Magnifique' Renovation
The renovation celebrates the ties between Washington, D.C. and Paris through design, color, fashion and history.

As guests enter the hotel they will notice an Art Deco ambience in sophisticated shades of black and white with bold green accents inspired by the sleek style of Paris in the 1920s. A prominent feature in the lobby, an expansive tufted banquette, captures the allure of the verdant gardens at the Palace of Versailles and the elegance of the White House Green Room.

The guestrooms and suites showcase a black and white motif emboldened with red or blue accents that reflect the cosmopolitan chic of Paris and Washington, D.C., international centers of culture and style. Prestige Suites features include a lounge chair in the color of the White House Blue Room as well as a blue duvet inspired by the brilliant sparkle of the Hope Diamond once owned by Marie Antoinette and now displayed at the Smithsonian National History Museum. This color once inspired another figure of the Washington, D.C. scene, Jacqueline Kennedy, whose presence is reflected in the bedroom mirror displaying one of her famous quotes and throughout the hotel with vintage fashion prints in the hallways, elevators and the hotel library.

Upgraded guestroom amenities include bedside and desk charging stations with USB port, adjustable reading lights, upgraded 55" hi-definition television, new bath lighting, and fully refurbished Sofitel SoBed™ with pure white linens, new pillows and feather mattress topper.
