The St. Regis Princeville Resort is set to open on Kauai's North Shore on Oct. 1. The luxury hotel, formerly the Princeville Resort, is emerging from a major transformation to a Hawaiian design that pays homage to the land and culture.
The resort will introduce the services and amenities of the St. Regis brand, including St. Regis butler service, the 10,000-square-foot Halelea (House of Joy) Spa and the introduction of Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Kauai Grill. The Kauai Grill will feature views of Hanalei Bay through floor-to-ceiling windows and internationally influenced cuisine. Vongerichtens menu will utilize fresh fish and ingredients indigenous to the islands while adapting recipes and culinary techniques. The resort's 252 guestrooms and suites overlook the Hanalei Valley and the Napali Coast. The resort is surrounded by five mountains, a patchwork of taro farms, a wildlife refuge, equestrian paths and hiking trails, and ancient sea caves and lagoons. The resort also has access to Princeville's two 18-hole golf courses: the Prince and Makai, designed by Robert Trent Jones, II; and the Makai Course, which is undergoing a major renovation that will be completed this fall.
