The Tata Suite evokes the welcoming ambiance of an elegant Beacon Hill townhouse, featuring a gracious parlor with expansive windows overlooking Boston’s Public Garden and Commonwealth Avenue, a dining room that can accommodate six, a gleaming kitchen area, entertaining area with wet bar, a spacious master bedroom and lavish marble master bath and a second Park view bedroom with marble bath. Among the new Tata Suite appointments:

• A regal color palette in tones of green, blue and gold and subtle tone-on-tone medallion and soft floral designs are reflected in the lush new carpet, silk upholstery fabrics and draperies, and wall coverings
• Custom throw pillows atop sofas, armchairs and beds lend hints of accent colors and hand-selected Indian motifs
• Warm mahogany and inlaid wood furnishings, including tables, coffee tables and sideboards original to the 1927 building, have been carefully restored to lustrous perfection
• New custom cabinetry with nickel hardware and a new stainless steel sink in a rich granite surround frame the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; a new sink and hardware also enhance the wet bar hospitality area
• Marble baths and powder room now feature bidet-style water closets
• An Indian designed lamp and framed photograph of Esplanade House, the original Tata family home in Mumbai, grace the entranceway to the suite; additional family photos and books on Tata Group enterprises and India are displayed throughout the suite to complement other works from the hotel’s extensive art collection
