Executive Chef Alex Padilla will bring a lifetime of flavor and tradition with the arrival of Taberna Mexicana Beverly Hills. Alex Padilla's diverse culinary background includes extensive years of formal training under some of the most revered chefs in the nation, including Nancy Oakes of famed San Francisco eatery Boulevard. In addition, Chef Padilla spent time researching and honing his craft in Mexico and Europe, bringing this cross-regional and generational flair to each presentation on the Taberna menu. Signature selections include a wide range of Ceviches, Cochinita Pibil, Pumpkin Seed Crusted Scallops, Tequila Poached Shrimp Cocteles, Crab Cake Rolls with Roasted Garlic Poblanos Sauce, Carne Asada with Mole Rub and Chili-Garlic Butter, Sopa De Albondigas, Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder with Guajillo Pepper Sauce, Pacific Spiny Lobster with Tequila Mushrooms and Roasted Potatoes and a selection of taco plates, including Filet Mole Tacos.

Signature selections from the drink menu, created by Bobby Heugel of Houston's Anvil Bar & Lounge, include margaritas made with seasonal fruit (cherries and blood oranges for spring), Mole Montage, made with spiced rum, classic mole spices, and ginger beer, La Margarita de Taberna, made with fresh lime and agave nectar, Aztec Affection, made with vodka, lemon, and agave nectar, Jalisco Attitude, made with jalapeno tincture, tequila, lime, and cilantro, Pisco Punch, made with pisco, grapefruit, lime and pineapple, and Hellfire Patch, made with habanero infused vodka, strawberries, lemon and turbinado.
