Ted Turner Expeditions Announces Epic Photo Tours at Vermejo Park Ranch, New Mexico
Happening from July to September under the tutelage of photographer Sean Fitzgerald, the photo tour series will showcase the massive landscapes, flora, fauna and history of Vermejo Park Ranch, the largest contiguous privately owned property in the West, spanning 590,000 acres -- on par with the size of Canyonlands, Zion and Redwood National Parks, combined, from the Great Plains to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

From baby animals and wildflowers to discovering the region's rich history, the scheduled photo tours include:
Babes & Blooms Tour - July 10-14, 2016
In summer, seasonal rains bring to life brilliant flora while newly born wildlife roam the landscape. Centered around prime wildflower season, an excellent time for macro photography, guests will also be able to photograph bison calves, elk calf nurseries and mule deer fawns.

Vermejo Park Ranch

Life on the Prairie Tour - August 12-16, 2016
Vermejo Park Ranch, filled with history from the pioneer era, settlements and mining operations, allows this tour to focus on the area's historic sites and abundant wildlife. Guests will also have the option to extend for a two-day Ghost Town Tour, available August 16-18.

Elk Rut & Aspen Tour - September 23-27, 2016
This unique photography experience will allow guests to experience the annual elk rut (mating season) up close and personal. Vermejo's well-trained guides will provide incredible opportunities to capture spectacular wildlife images. The tour is sold as a 2:1 photographer to guide ratio. All single photographers will be paired with another guest during the outing.

Vermejo Park Ranch

Rates for the Babes & Blooms and Life on the Prairie tours start at $2,200 per person. Rates for the Elk Rut & Aspen tour start at $3,500 per person for a standard room and $4,000 per person for a suite at the new Casa Grande. Rates include all meals (excluding alcohol) and non-guided activities in addition to the tours.
