The Alpina Gstaad Named to Conde Nast Traveler's 2016 Gold List
The editors of one of the country's leading travel magazines, Conde Nast Traveler chose The Alpina Gstaad as one of 142 hotels around the world that are "doing it best," according to Editor in Chief Pilar Guzmán. In deciding which hotels to recommend – the ones the editors come back to again and again – they considered 1,000 properties. More than 6.2 million readers of the magazine's print and digital editions will hear the news about the award when The Gold List appears in the January 2016 issue.

"In our culling process, we kept coming back to this idea of the hotel as arbiter – not just of those characteristics one ascribes to hospitality but also – of culture more generally," explained Guzmán.
