Arriving in late November and located at the approximate latitude of its namesake, 77° West is Atlantis’ newest dining experience, offering guests South American-inspired cuisine with a Bahamian touch. The restaurant will begin welcoming guests for dinner this holiday season.

“77° West joins Atlantis’ impressive roster of restaurants and presents the first cuisine of its kind at our resort,” says Ian Reid, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations and Food & Beverage at Atlantis, Paradise Island. “With the ever-changing culinary landscape, Atlantis’ newest dining venue explores South American-Caribbean cuisine, delivering inventive dishes based on classic favorites and bolstering the resort as a long-standing culinary destination.”

With 77° West, Atlantis delivers contemporary cuisine that begins with appetizers such as duck and cotija-stuffed empanadas; crunchy soft shell crab; and charred lamp chops paired with yogurt-cucumber dip and mango-infused jalapeño slaw. Indulge in 77° West’s signature ceviche yellowtail snapper as well as aji amarillo Tuna, rivaled only by the Shrimp ‘Cocktel,’ plated with mango and avocado in a roasted tomato sauce.

“At 77° West, we focus on fusing together ubiquitous textures, colors, and, flavors of cooking styles prevalent to South American cuisine, said Garry O’Connor, Executive Chef of The Cove Atlantis. “Our innovative Caribbean touches complement our use of fresh and local and regional produce, creating a product that is rich in tradition and culture.”

77° West yields signature seafood and land-based dishes, and vegan and vegetarian options, all designed to satisfy a variety of diners taste. Consider the Bahamian Cracked Lobster, paired with creamed corn and shrimp; the Roasted Chilean Seabass, flavored with island spice alongside hot crab ceviche; or the vegetarian-preferred Oven Baked Wheat Tostada, a savory serving of various vegetables and moranga salsa.

77° West’s menu rounds out with a selection of Simply or Island Grilled, for guests seeking either meat or seafood options that are seasoned only with our special house blend spices, as well as a variety of side dishes ranging from Grilled Asparagus to Chili Spice Fries.

Dessert is a delight worth the indulging for at 77° West. The six-item menu caters to the idea of traditional sweets challenged by savory Bahamian flavors, including a Guava Tart, Coconut Flan, and Roasted Pumpkin Crema. The signature Dulce de Leche Cheesecake remains a modern favorite, with a mouth-watering salted caramel sauce collapsing around the house-made tres leche crema.
