The Dolder Grand Zurich Launches Gourmet Festival In September
Running from the 18th – 21st September, the festival will be a new highlight of Zurich’s gourmet calendar. Throughout the four days, guests can tantalise their taste buds with culinary workshops, indulgent eight-course dinners created by Michelin starred chefs, and insider tips from some of the world’s top restaurateurs.

With thirteen international masters of cooking performing over four days, the festival brings 27 Michelin stars and over 74 Gault-Millau points to Zurich fo r the highlight of the city’s culinary calendar. The hotel’s own Michelin starred chef Heiko Nieder will be joined by the likes of Joachim Wissler (Restaurant Vendôme, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany), Benoît Violier (L’Hotel de Ville, Crissier, Switzerland) and Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Modena, Italy) amongst many others.

The hotel’s The Restaurant will be open each evening to spoil guests with gourmet delights created by these four chefs each night. Saturday 20th September will be a showcase of culinary workshops throughout the hotel, where guests can taste samples and pick up tips from some of The Dolder Grand’s preferred suppliers, who will be discussing all things caviar, chocolate, cheese, wine and champagne.

The festival will cumulate on Sunday 21st September with a gastronomic tasting extravaganza, with live cooking stations featuring nine Michelin-starred chefs, including the hotel’s own Heiko Nieder and the likes of Arnaud Bignon (The Greenhouse Restaurant, London, UK), Tim Raue (Restaurant Tim Raue, Berlin, Germany), Esben Holmboe Bang (Restaurant Maaemo, Oslo, Norway), Dieter Koschina (Restaurant Vila Joya, Algarve, Portugal), François Geurds (FG Restaurant, Rotterdam, Netherlands), Jean Sulpice (Restaurant Jean Sulpice, Val Thorens, France), Johannes King (Doring Söl’ring Hof, Sylt, Germany) and Rolf Fliegauf (Restaurant Ecco, Ascona, Switzerland) in this grand gourmet final.

Gourmands can take in the gastronomic delights of this inaugural festival with the Epicure Package, with a one night stay at the Dolder Grand, including breakfast, 8-course Epicure Dinner with wine pairing, and full use of the Dolder Grand Spa. Prices start from £1,152 for two people.
