The Greenbrier Chapel Officially Opens with Wedding Ceremony of Owner James C. Justice's Daughter
The couple married in the recently completed Greenbrier Chapel, nestled on the grounds of The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV. The chapel's spectacular stained-glass windows were designed by Carleton Varney, the legendary long-time interior decorator of The Greenbrier. Bob Cochran was the on-site project manager.

The classic white wood and stone chapel, which can seat up to 500 guests, features a spectacular copper roof and steeple and colorful stained glass windows, which evoke the alluring landscapes of West Virginia. The rustic elegant interior of The Greenbrier Chapel features exposed wood-beam ceilings adorned with 10 custom chandeliers, checkerboard stained-wood floors, a wrap-around balcony and carved wood pews.

The couple exited The Greenbrier Chapel as three antique church bells from 1924 rang in celebration. A reception, featuring numerous heartfelt toasts, was highlighted by surprise singer Lionel Richie's stirring performance in a magnificent tent in Founders Park, located in the heart of The Old White TPC at The Greenbrier.
