The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York Announces Artist in Residence Program
Set to offer a new and energizing artistic flair to the Upper East Side, Ciacca's well-regarded jazz performances are some of New York's most sought after experience. The Pierre's rich heritage of hosting the city's most notable musicians and sought-after supper clubs is excited to welcome Antonio Ciacca to carry on the artistic tradition. Debuting November 5th, Ciacca's program is an ode to the jazz world's top talent – past and present.

Held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30pm to 10:30pm, the first iteration will be a celebration of Ciacca's own compositions performed live by the artist himself. The program for the month of November is as follows:

• November 5-6-7, 2015: Grand Debut of Antonio Ciacca, Artist in Residence, at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel
• November 13-14, 2015: A celebration of Billy Strayhorn's Centennial by Antonio Ciacca
• November 19-20-21, 2015: A performance by the Koran Agan Trio's “Hot Club de New York”
• November 26-27-28, 2015: A performance by the Jill McCarron Trio's “American Songbook”

Born in Germany, raised in Italy and educated in the United States, pianist, composer, and arts-presenter Antonio Ciacca began his career in jazz as a sideman for the genre's most celebrated musicians. In 2007, Antonio Ciacca entered arts administration, assuming the role of Director of Programming at Jazz at Lincoln Center, working alongside Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis until 2011. In 2009, Ciacca's also began teaching “Business of Jazz” at the Juilliard School of Music. Ciacca also served as Artist in Residence at the Langham Place Hotel in New York City and debuted his works at Carnegie Hall in 2013.
