The Silo Hotel, Cape Town to Open in March 2017
The three fabulous F&B outlets are set to become some of Cape Town's hottest hangouts. The Willaston Bar and Granary Café on the 6thfloor are vibrant spaces with magnificent views of Table Mountain. The hotel will also have a rooftop bar / restaurant and swimming pool with unique 360 degree views over the city.

The grain storage silo was built in 1921 and at the time was the tallest building in sub-Saharan Africa. It has huge historic significance for Cape Town and for South Africa and is an icon of the Cape Town skyline. Each of the grain silos around the country would bring their grain to Cape Town to be shipped on board the SS Willaston to Europe.

After a three year redevelopment, this beautiful boutique hotel will occupy six floors above what will become the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA). Zeitz MOCAA will be a modern art museum to rival the likes of the Tate Modern in London and MoMA in New York. The project has been managed by Thomas Heatherwick, founder and principal of the London-based Heatherwick Studio, who was tasked with the transformation of the elevator house and adjacent storage annex of six rows of seven silos, while carefully preserving its cultural significance and creating a building that retains its iconic position on the horizon.
