The Sounds of the Old City Festival Returns to Jerusalem in March

The Sounds of the Old City Festival Returns to Jerusalem in March
The festival will offer rare performances by bands and ensembles scheduled to perform authentic music both on stage and in the streets of the Old City quarters. Each band and ensemble will play music unique to the quarter in which it performs: an authentic Armenian celebration will be held in the Armenian Quarter, traditional music will be played in the Muslim Quarter, the Christian Quarter will be the scene of a celebration of liturgical works and Israeli and Klezmer music will be played in the Jewish Quarter.

The festival will be set up along a circular route starting at the Jaffa Gate and weaving through the Armenian, Jewish, Muslim and Christian quarters ending back at the Jaffa Gate, creating an exciting experience for visitors in the magical setting of the Old City.
