The Yeatman in Porto, Portugal Named a 2014 Fodor's 100 Hotel Award Winner
Chosen by Fodor's Travel experts, the award designates hotels that reflect a winning combination of setting, style, service, and amenities, providing an exemplary experience for guests. Selected from a field of more than 5,000 hotels reviewed, The Yeatman was the only Portuguese hotel to make the 100, and also received a Reader's Choice award: only 25 of the 100 hotels were also included in this category.

“These are quite the accolades for The Yeatman,” said Assistant GM, Teresa Frazão. “The hotel has received many awards since it opened in 2010, and this recognition from Fodor's Travel is certainly one of the most prestigious.”

The Yeatman, of Anglo/Portuguese heritage, has been widely praised for its spectacular views, award-winning wine list and Michelin-starred restaurant under Chef Ricardo Costa. A mecca for wine lovers, The Yeatman houses the largest collection of Portuguese wines in the world, and hosts wine dinners that feature a different producer each week, chosen from the hotel's 78 wine partners. The hotel is also home to a luxurious Caudalie Spa, with an array of Vinothérapie® treatments and relaxation facilities.

The Yeatman is an ideal base for travelers visiting the nearby Port lodges or venturing further into the Douro Valley. It is a convenient 20-minute taxi ride from the airport, or 5 minutes from the nearest train station.
