Toast 2016 With Parties and Special Packages Across the USA
Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid, New York: This all-suite resort tucked away in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, will throw two New Year's Eve events: a Family-Style New Year's Eve Bash and a Dine and Dance event. The Family-Style party will kick off on Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. in The Clubhouse with a cocktail hour complete with a DJ, photo booth, entertainment, a buffet and an early ball drop of 10 p.m. to be mindful of youngsters' bedtimes. The party (for resort guests only) is $88 for adults, $44 for children ages 5-11, plus tax and gratuity, and free for children four and under.

Guests and local residents can also ring in 2016 at the lodge's annual adult Dine and Dance event, kicking-off with a Three-Course New Year's Eve Menu served in KANU, the lodge's signature restaurant, with seating from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Following dinner, guests can dance the night away at KANU Lounge with live entertainment by Vinnie Leddick & The Snowmakers and keep track of the countdown on various televisions throughout the lounge. At midnight, guests will cheer the arrival of 2016 with a complimentary Champagne toast.

The Umstead Hotel and Spa, Cary, North Carolina: The Umstead Hotel and Spa is host to of some of the region's most elegant festivities, including its anticipated New Year's Eve Celebration, taking place in the recently renovated Umstead Ballroom. Both formal and fun, with an emphasis on exceptional cuisine, the gala will include small plates, tempting desserts, an open bar with premium liquors, wine and beer, and live music from The Soul Psychedelique, a high energy ensemble. From 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., revelers will enjoy nonstop entertainment as they ring in the new year. The celebration is priced at $185 per person, inclusive.

Those thirsting for a taste of France in their celebrations may head to Sofitel's stylish Gaby Brasserie, where they will celebrate the magic of the holiday in both New York City and Paris with two New Year's toasts. Guests will enjoy a live DJ, a special screening of the fireworks in Paris and the Times Square Ball Drop, an open bar offering house drinks and Veuve Clicquot Champagne (starting at $50 per person), and a special prix-fixe menu (starting at $120 per person.) A splurge-worthy New Year's Eve VIP section will also be available (starting at $450 per person), and it includes private mezzanine seating, two toasts of Grande Dame Champagne, free-flowing Veuve Cliquot Rosé and open bar, and specialty high-end hors d'oeuvres and canapés from Chef Harribey.

1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, Clayton, New York: In a nod to the Roaring ‘20s, the AAA Four Diamond-rated 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, New York will toast 2016 with a Great Gatsby-themed extravaganza on New Year's Eve. The Dec. 31 celebration will begin at 7 p.m. with a cocktail reception and hors d' oeuvres followed by dancing, live entertainment and an exquisite dinner designed by Executive Chef Patrick Leibacher featuring 1920s-inspired stations. Starting at $339 (based on double occupancy) the Great Gatsby New Year's Eve Package includes overnight accommodations for two, bottle of Harbor Hotel Champagne welcome amenity, one-hour cocktail reception, dinner and dancing featuring live entertainment by Letizia and the Z Band with open bar from 8:30-12:30 a.m., party favors and Champagne toast, New Year's Day breakfast buffet, 12 p.m. late check-out. A two-night package is also available with rates starting at $449 and includes all components of the New Year's Eve package, plus an additional breakfast at Seaway Grill. Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, Scottsdale, Arizona: Kicking off 2016 in Sonoran style, the award-winning Scottsdale resort has designed two unique ways to ring in the New Year on Dec. 31, each featuring an inspired four-course feast by Chef MacMillan. Dinner in elements, served during two seatings from 5:30-7 p.m. is available for $150 per person, and from 8-10:30 p.m. for $185 per person (the second seating includes a complimentary Champagne toast, party favors and admission to the jade bar celebration).

Guests who want a whole night of entertainment can enjoy Dinner, DJ and Dancing at jade bar. This party will feature beats from Neil Concepcion (“DJ Hybrid”) from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and party groups of four people ($1,000) to six people ($1,500) can book the Dinner & Entertainment package which includes dinner, party favors and a bottle of Dom Perignon. Harbor View Hotel, Martha's Vineyard: On Thursday, Dec. 31, this Martha's Vineyard landmark will host its fifth annual New Year's Eve celebration, beginning at 8 p.m. when guests can dance the night away to music by The Joanne Cassidy Band and The Mike Benjamin Band while enjoying delectable hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, wine and beer. At midnight, party-goers can step outside for prime views of celebratory fireworks over Edgartown Harbor and a complimentary Champagne toast to kick-off 2016 in style. Party-goers who would like to continue the fun can opt to book the hotel's New Year's Eve Package, which provides overnight accommodations, two tickets to the party, late check-out at 2 p.m. and all taxes and gratuities, with rates starting at $399. Sea Crest Beach Hotel, Cape Cod: This quintessential Cape retreat perched on a private stretch of Old Silver Beach will ring in 2016 in oceanfront style with a disco-inspired celebration featuring a buffet, live music and dancing. A New Year's Eve Package is also available and starts at $399 (including taxes and gratuities) and includes overnight accommodations for two on Dec. 31, dinner and dancing for two featuring live entertainment by The Motor Booty Band, party favors and Champagne toast, and New Year's Day breakfast buffet for two in the hotel's Ocean View Room. Additional nights pre- and post-New Year's Eve are available starting at $89 per night. Local residents looking to join the party can enjoy dinner and dancing for $125 per person.

On New Year's Day, Sea Crest is sponsoring the Old Silver Beach New Year's Day Run 'N Dunk, and is encouraging guests and local residents to dive into 2016 with a 5.7-or 3-mile run followed by a group polar plunge at Old Silver Beach. All proceeds will be donated to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Online registration for the Jan. 1, 2016 plunge closes on Jan. 1 at 5 a.m. and day-of registration will take place in Ballroom I and closes at 8 a.m. Pricing is as follows: Cod Level (includes long-sleeved shirt) $30; Clam Level (includes long-sleeved shirt and plush towel) $80.

Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa, on Singer Island, Florida: The AAA Four Diamond, all-suite resort is hosting a 2016 New Year's Eve Bash featuring a festive three-course menu served from 5-7 p.m. ($65 per person) at 3800 Ocean, the resort's inviting oceanfront gathering spot for resort guests and locals alike. A four-course dinner will also be available from 8-10:30 p.m. ($125 per person). The second seating includes an Amuse Bouche, complimentary Champagne toast, live entertainment, DJ and dancing until 2 a.m. Tax and gratuity are additional.
